What do you get when you mix alternative rock band Soundgarden with Amy Winehouse? You get Armanda Dempsey, the latest indie musician to grace the Arizona music scene. I’ve had the privilege of working with Armanda and her team at Loop 101 Media in the video production department, editing not only the music video for her latest song Beauty Queen, but also producing a promotional teaser trailer and social media content reels for the music video. I always enjoy editing trailers and promos because it allows me to really explore storytelling through editing footage together.

This music video delves into love's complexities, and the teaser is a cryptic preview, leaving viewers curious about the beauty queen's story. Infused with horror-film aesthetics—thanks to eerie sounds, risers, and unsettling scenes—it's a suspenseful teaser.

Fitting perfectly with the tone of Beauty Queen, the release date for the song and music video is on February 14th, 2024, or in other words Valentine’s Day.
