Personal project of mine. One of my favorite horror films is Jennifer Kent’s The Babadook, a psychological horror that masters the usage of a minimal set and lighting. Being that this is a favorite of mine, I decided to design a conceptual horror film poster. Ideally what I wanted to do was to create a poster that looked similar to the book illustrations featured in the film. While I didn’t get the exact look, I did get this creepy style that reminds me almost of the illustrations of Lane Smith, at least the shading reminds me.
