I worked with Arizona director Nick LaRovere in designing a logo for his pilot science fiction TV series Respite. When discussing the visual identity of the series, since it’s a mix of science fiction and post-apocalyptic (reminiscent of the Mad Max series), we wanted to create a look of something metallic, but old and rusty, showing the age of the Respite universe.

During this project, I played around with different looks for the type, trying to capture the look many sci-fi films had utilized for their type. I also used some gradient maps for extreme coloring, which helped create a molten, hot metal look for some of the logo concepts.
