To build up portfolio work and social media content for my own Instagram profile @designersaylor, I designed a horror film poster inspired by Arizona horror sculptor Dulce Ramirez’s Frosty the Snowman sculpture. Continuing the theme, I wanted to produce a poster based on Frosty still, placing him inside of a snow globe and creating a rather dramatic scene. My inspiration for the poster is based on many 1980s horror film poster designs, which is kind of fitting considering a lot of Dulce’s work is inspired by John Carpenter’s The Thing.
